A small liberal arts college wanted to develop a strategic plan that would guide it into the next millennium.

We interviewed individual members of the Strategic Planning Committee which included administrators, the Board of Trustees, faculty, and students and facilitated a two day off-site retreat that resulted in a strategy plan overview. We worked also with focus groups on the campus to build buy-in for the strategy and worked with the Committee to develop a plan for implementation.

Consulting Services

We find it useful to ask our clients what keeps them awake. We respect your knowledge and experience. We listen. Then we ask more questions to gather, analyze, and interpret information about institutional, divisional, departmental, team, and individual performance.

  • Are you consistently motivating, coordinating, and rewarding
actions that lead to your desired outcomes, or are ingrained routines and processes –"the way we do things around here"– inhibiting your ability to move in a new direction?

  • Are management styles and practices, once relevant and useful, in need of reexamination?

  • Are you making productivity gains while simultaneously improving employee satisfaction and retention?

We will help you distinguish between the symptoms and root causes of ineffective performance, identify existing and potential roadblocks to progress, and propose actions to move your organization forward. We can assist you in creating a strategic plan to address critically important cultural and leadership issues related to coalition building and ‘buy-in’ at all levels in the organization.

We will not suggest a program or recommend a plan that does not have a contextual basis in your endeavor. Instead, we will help you act on current and future opportunities within a unified framework of knowledge and skills.
